Frank Summerson (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) gutted out a superset tiebreaker win to help the Lycoming College men's tennis team sweep the contested singles matches as it beat Misericordia University, 6-3, in MAC Freedom action at the Birchwood Tennis Club on Thursday afternoon, April 29.

Summerson capped the match with a 6-2, 6-7 (5), 11-9 win over Payton Argot at No. 5 singles. Sophomore
Nate Redell (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) posted a 6-3, 6-0 win over Zack Hemond at No. 1 and senior
Cody Greenaway (Milton, Pa./Milton Area) added a 6-1, 6-1 win over Matt McCaffery at No. 2.

Freshman
Luke Leach (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) and junior
Casey Haas (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) combined for the other three points. Leach posted a 6-0, 6-1 win over Ethan Snyder at No. 3 and Haas beat Noah Drayton by the same score at No. 4. They also teamed to beat Anthony Sisco and Karol Bialek, 8-0, at No. 2 doubles.

The Warriors improved to 2-6 overall and 1-4 in the MAC Freedom. Misericordia fell to 0-6 overall and 0-4 in the MACFreedon.

The Warriors wrap up the regular season on Saturday, May 1, when they host Arcadia University in MAC Freedom action at 1 p.m. at Brandon Park.
