SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Lycoming College golf team showed improvement at the Susquehanna University Spring Invitational on a rainy Sunday, April 11, taking three strokes off its score from the opening round on Wednesday, as the team competed at the par-70, 6,241-yard Susquehanna Valley Country Club.

Junior
Michael Turck (Homer, N.Y./Homer) once again led the Warriors with a 105 and senior
Trent Riggs (Centreville, Md./Queen Anne's County) posted a 112. Seniors
Matt Kalyan (Auburn, Pa./Schuylkill Haven) and
Len Wyda (Nescopeck, Pa./Berwick Area) each showed marked improvement, with Kalyan posting a 123 and Wyda a 125.

The Warriors finished sixth in the six-team field, with Scranton taking the team crown with a 315, one stroke ahead of Penn State Harrisburg (316). Penn State Harrisburg's Matt Redman won the individual title with a five-over-par 75 via a card tiebreaker with Scranton's Matt Fleming, who also shot a 75.

The Warriors get back on the course on Tuesday, April 13, when they face Penn College in a dual match at Williamsport Country Club.
