WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Pounding out 15 hits, the Lycoming College softball team came-from-behind thanks to a four-run fourth inning to post a 9-6 win in the nightcap of a doubleheader with MAC Freedom-leading Misericordia University on Saturday, April 10, at the Shangraw Athletic Complex. Â
The Warriors tacked on an insurance run in the sixth inning, as Klosko posted a one-out single, took second on a groundout, third on a single from Segraves and scored on a single from freshman
Kylie DeWolfe (New Cumberland, Pa./Cedar Cliff).
Â
The Warriors jumped out with four runs in the first inning, as Russell and Reitz started the game with singles before Wetzel jacked a three-run homer to the opposite field. Klosko and Gessner followed with singles and a passed ball moved them up a base before DeWolfe walked. Sophomore

Â
After Misericordia scored three runs in the first inning, the Warriors responded in the bottom of the third. DeWolfe started the frame with a double to left center before she took third on a sac bunt. After a pair of walks loaded the bases, Reitz lifted a sac fly to score the first run before senior
Taylor Gessner (Lewisburg, Pa./Meadowbrook Christian) drilled a double that one-hopped the left field wall.
Â
After a walk to start the fifth, Misericordia saw a runner cut down at the plate off a single from Elliott, but an errant throw put Elliott at third with one out and a sac fly by Kaitlin Redling became the deciding run, as the Cougars allowed just one Lycoming runner in the last three innings.
Â
Redling went 2-for-3 with a run and two RBI and Amanda Butera also went 2-for-4 with a RBI.
Â
Junior
