Dangerfield and Manuel pace Warriors in 89-61 loss at Arcadia
GLENSIDE, Pa. – Senior
Darius Dangerfield (Abingdon, Md./Harford Tech) and sophomore
DeAundre Manuel (Brooklyn, N.Y./KIPP NYC College Prep) each scored 10 points to the lead the Lycoming College men's basketball team, which fell, 89-61, in the second game of a MAC Freedom home-and-home at Arcadia on Friday, March 5.
Manuel converted on 4-of-5 attempts from the floor, including 2-of-3 from deep.
The Warriors (3-1) obtained a 5-2 lead early in the game, but didn't lead after that, heading into the break facing a 50-33 deficit. Dangerfield scored seven points for Lycoming in the first half.
The Knights (4-4) shot 65 percent (13-for-20) on 3-pointers and 52 percent (29-for-56) from the floor.
The Warriors shot 39 percent (23-for-59) from the field, including 32 percent (11-for-34) in the second half. Arcadia had four players post double digits in the points column, as they were paced by Da'Kquan Davis for the second straight night, as the senior poured in 22 points.
Sophomore
Dyson Harward (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) added eight points for Lycoming, as well as team-highs in both rebounds and blocks with six and three, respectively. Fellow sophomore
Mo Terry (Severn, Md./Severn School) and freshman
Steven Hamilton (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) each contributed seven points.
The Warriors will be back in action on Thursday, March 11, when they host undefeated DeSales at 7 p.m. at Lamade Gymnasium to begin the last MAC Freedom home-and-home set of the year.
