Luke Leach (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) each won their first career singles match for the Lycoming College men's tennis team, as it posted an 8-1 non-conference win over Misericordia University on Saturday, March 20, at a sunny Brandon Park.

The Warriors (1-0 overall) swept through doubles play, with Redell and senior
Cody Greenaway (Milton, Pa./Milton Area) posting an 8-7 (3) win over Zack Hemond and Matt McCaffery at No. 1, Leach and junior
Casey Haas (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) added an 8-0 win over Noah Drayton and Ethan Snyder at No. 2 and sophomores
Jason Anderson (Littlestown, Pa./Littlestown) and
Frank Summerson (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) added an 8-1 win over Payton Argot and Karol Bialek.

In singles play, Leach beat Snyder, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 3 singles and Redell posted a 6-4, 6-3 win over Hemond at No. 1 singles to clinch the patch. Haas added a 6-2, 6-2 win over Drayton at No. 4, Anderson beat Argot, 6-2, 7-5 , at No. 5 singles and Summerson posted a 6-1, 6-1 win over Bialek at No. 5.

The Warriors get back on the court on Saturday, March 27, when they head to Lebanon Valley College for a 1 p.m. non-conference match.
