WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Emily Wolfgang (Allenwood, Pa./Montgomery Area) and first-year Rei Saar (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) each won their singles matches and teamed for another win in the No. 2 doubles slot to lead the Lycoming College women's tennis team to a 7-2 team win over previously undefeated Albright College in their final match of the fall on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 10, at Brandon Park.
 
Saar defeated Lauren China, 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 5 singles slot for the Warriors (3-4 overall) and ends the fall with a team-leading 11-1 record in singles matches, riding a nine-match winning streak and already tied for 14th in program history
.
In the No. 3 singles match, Wolfgang beat Shelby Woodward, 7-5, 6-3, and capped off her season at 6-4 overall in singles matches.
 
Saar and Wolfgang also made quick work of the No. 2 doubles match, defeating Libby Harford and Lauren China, 8-2. Saar also leads the Warriors in doubles wins with a 5-5 record.
 
Senior Madison Heller (Cogan Station, Pa./Williamsport Area) defeated Libby Harford in the No. 2 singles match, 6-1, 6-2.
 
Sophomore Haley Seebold (New Columbia, Pa./Milton Area) defeated Maddie Taylor, 6-0, 6-0, in the No. 4 singles while first-year Emily Engelhardt (Beachwood, N.J./Central Regional) won her No. 6 match, beating Marisa Cocca, 5-7, 6-3, 10-8.
 
Seebold and partner, first-year Addison Angstadt (Mohrsville, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) defeated Cocca and Macie Littleton in the No. 3 doubles match, 8-7 (4).
 
The Lions fall to 3-1.
 
The Warriors get back on the court to start the spring portion of their 2021-22 season on Friday, March 25, when they host Alfred University at 3 p.m., at Brandon Park.
