WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Junior Erica Lutz (Bernville, Pa./Hamburg) had a career-high 31 points and senior Morgan Mader (Cresco, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) had 20 thanks to a career-high tying six 3-pointers to lead the Lycoming College women's basketball team, but Arcadia University scored the last seven points in the overtime period to sneak out of Lamade Gym with an 80-77 MAC Commonwealth win on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 8.

Lutz hit 13-of-20 from the field and hit all five of her free throws to post her second 30-point effort of the season. Mader hit 6-of-13 from deep, extending her school record to 65 3-pointers made this year. Senior Akilah McFadden (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) added 15 points, five rebounds and two steals and junior Sydney Purcell (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) added six assists, two steals and four points.

Mader hit two 3-pointers to start the overtime period for the Warriors before Lutz knocked in a layup to make it 77-73 with 3:12 to play. Arcadia got a pair of free throws before Taylor Dunn hit a trey in rhythm to take a 78-77 lead with 1:52 left. The Warriors took three shots in the course of the next two minutes, but couldn't get one to fall, and Arcadia hit two free throws in the final five seconds to make up the final margin.

Down 13 at halftime, the Warriors came out of the break playing inspired defense, holding the Knights to eight points in the third quarter, getting within two points after a 3-pointer from Mader with 4:25 left in the period before Arcadia got the lead back to five entering the fourth quarter.

Lycoming started the fourth quarter on a 6-1 run to tie the game off a steal and layup from McFadden with 6:47 left.
