WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore
Jess Riordan (Vineland, N.J./Our Lady of Mercy) tallied double-digit saves for the second straight game, but Goucher College used a first-half goal to capture a 1-0 victory on Wednesday, Sept. 4 in non-conference action at UPMC Field.

Riordan kept the Warriors (1-2 overall) in striking distance, finishing with 11 saves, while facing 19 Gopher shots.

Finley Lindsey scored the game-winning goal at the top of the box in the 45
th minute off assists from Emerson Jewart and Olivia Chinitz.

The Warriors best chance came in the final minute of regulation, drawing a foul just outside the top of the goal box. With the clock ticking near 30 seconds left, sophomore
Alicia Blizzard (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) fired a shot low that was just a bit too quick for a charging Warrior attacker, falling into the keeper's hands.

Christina Charikofsky earned the victory in net for the Gophers (3-0 overall), making one save.

Megan Oyler (Bedford, Pa./Bedford) led the Warriors with two shots, while junior
Elle Sarracco (Wantage, N.J./High Point Regional), Blizzard and freshman
Gabby Perez (Vineland, N.J./Vineland) each had one.

The Warriors are back on the field when they head to Bethany College on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 1:30 p.m., for a non-conference match at Hoag Field.
