Warriors fall to Wolves in OT

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Jayden Leighow (Unityville, Pa./Hughesville) scored her first goal of the season to lead the Lycoming College women's soccer team, but a pair of late goals, including one in the fourth minute of overtime, helped lift Keuka College to a 2-1 non-conference victory on Saturday, Sept. 29 at UPMC Field.

Grace Wolf connected on a header off a 35-yard free-kick from Morgan Fuller for the game-winner in overtime.

Leighow gave the Warriors (6-3-1 overall) the lead in the 20th minute when she beat a leaping keeper with a high-lofting shot from just outside the box after regaining possession off a deflection.

The Warriors held onto the lead until the 72nd minute when Morgan Fuller scored on a 1-v-1 goal.

In net, sophomore Jess Riordan (Vineland, N.J./Our Lady of Mercy) made 12 saves, including a full-extension diving save in the first minute of overtime to keep the score tied. Jessica Pegg made 10 saves for the Wolves (5-3 overall), who hadn't allowed a goal in four games entering the game.

The Warriors are back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. when they travel to crosstown rival Penn College for the Battle for the Lumber.
