Lance Klingler (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) each scored second-half goals to lead the Lycoming College men's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Eastern University in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 21, at UPMC Field.

After opening the game with a scoreless 53 minutes, the Warriors (4-3 overall) found the scoreboard when sophomore
Alex Henry (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) created a turnover at the top of the box and sent a pass to senior
Tanner Fonjweng (Bear, Del./Glasgow) at the left endline, who found a cutting Butler, who beat the keeper left for his second goal of the season.

The Warriors extended their lead to two in the 74
th minute when junior
Josh Cruz (Laurel, Md./Laurel) lofted a perfectly placed free kick into the box, allowing Klingler to glide through the air for a header into the upper right 90 of the goal, his second of the year.Â

The Warriors outshot the Eagles (3-4-1 overall), 14-8, while also leading in corners, 6-4.

Freshman
Kevin Kelly (Great Barrington, Mass./Berkshire School) earned his second straight shutout in his second start, making three saves. Anthony Hitchcock made five saves for the Eagles.

The Warriors are back on the field on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. when they travel to Swarthmore College for a non-conference game at Clothier Field Stadium.
