Warriors fall to Bullets in OT

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Sophomore Colin Wieand (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown Area) netted a header off a free kick from junior Alex Henry (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) to tie the game for the Lycoming College men's soccer team with 34 seconds remaining, but Gettysburg College scored three minutes into overtime to clinch a 2-1 non-conference victory on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 14 at Clark Field.

The game-tying goal score was Wieand's second goal on the season and Henry's second assist, both coming in back-to-back games.

Jonathan Molina scored both goals for the Bullets (3-2 overall), connecting on his first in the 73rd minute and the game-winner in the third minute of overtime.

The Warriors (2-3 overall) finished with 10 shots, with a team-high three coming from senior Tanner Fonjweng (Bear, Del./Glascow) and two from Wieand.

In net, sophomore Zack Donoway (Newark, Md./Snow Hill) made seven saves for the Warriors, while Thomas Keane made three saves to earn the win for the Bullets.

The Warriors are back on the field on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 4:30 p.m. when they host Dickinson College in a non-conference game at UPMC Field.
