WASHINGTON D.C. – Despite outshooting Catholic University in the second half, the Lycoming College men's soccer team could not complete a comeback, falling 2-0, to wrap up the Turk Emekli Classic at Carlini Field on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 31.
 
The Cardinals (1-1 overall) scored once in each half, with Andrew Morris posting a goal in the 40
th minute and C.J. Ballard adding a 71
st-minute score.
 
The Warriors (0-2 overall) finished with eight shots, taking six in the second half, led by two from freshman 
Jayson Butler (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright).
 
Sophomore goalkeeper 
Zack Donoway (Newark, Md./Snow Hill) finished with three saves for the Warriors and Jack Long stopped four shots in the shutout for Catholic.
 
The Warriors get back on the field on Saturday, Sept. 7, when they host Susquehanna in the Battle of the Boot at 1 p.m. at UPMC Field.
