WASHINGTON, D.C. –Senior
Tanner Fonjweng (Bear, Del./Glasgow Bear) gave the Lycoming College men's soccer team a one-goal lead in the second half, but The College of New Jersey scored in the final minute of regulation to send the game to overtime, before knocking in a golden goal to capture a 2-1 victory in the opening game of the Turk Emekli Classic, on Friday, Aug. 30 at Carlini Field.

Ryan Vazquez netted the game-winning goal in the final minute of the first overtime period to secure the victory for the Lions (1-0 overall).

After a scoreless first half, Fonjweng gave the Warriors a 1-0 lead after he beat the keeper to left to capitalize on a penalty shot opportunity in the 61
st minute, after he drew the foul in the box.

The Warriors (1-0 overall) held the advantage until the game's final minute when Justin Dominique found the back of the net off a corner kick.

Sophomore
Zack Donoway (Newark, Md./Snow Hill) finished with a save for the Warriors and Daniel Mecadon notched the win for the Lions (1-0 overall), stopping four shots.

The Warriors are back on the field on Saturday, Aug. 31, at 4:30 p.m., when they take on Catholic University in the final game of the Turk Emekli Classic.
