WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior
Kelly McGinniss (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) used 14 draw controls to break her own single-season record to lead the Lycoming College women's lacrosse team on Wednesday afternoon, April 13, but Albright College used two 10-goal halves to post a 20-5 MAC Commonwealth win at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.

McGinniss broke her own school-record for draw controls, as she finished the game with 162 in just 11 games this year, two more than her total of 160 set in 2018. McGinniss has the four highest single-season draw control totals in the school record book and her 546 career draw controls are third in NCAA Division III history. Her 162 draws this season are tied for 13
th in Division III history and just 27 from the Division III record held by Brianna Plester (2014).

Sophomore
Cecilia Massey (Middletown, Del./Hodgson Vo-Tech) and McGinniss each had two goals, with McGinniss also grabbing five ground balls and causing two turnovers. Junior
Hailey Kimble (Corning, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post) also notched a goal for the Warriors (2-9 overall, 0-3 MAC Commonwealth).

Massey had two long range goals in the first 12 minutes to help the Warriors stay close, but Albright (9-2 overall, 3-0 MAC Commonwealth) scored the last five goals of the half to take a 10-3 lead, starting a run of 11 straight goals.

Sophie Bass led the Lions with six goals, five assists and eight draw controls and Ashleigh Tortorice added six scores. Kelly Baumann notched two goals, four assists and three ground balls.

In net, freshman
Jordyn Altland (Hanover, Pa./South Western) posted 11 saves for the Warriors. Terae Mason stopped nine shots for the Lions to earn the win.
The Warriors host MAC Commonwealth foe Stevenson on Saturday, April 6, at 1 p.m. at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.
