WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior 
Liz Nace (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) threw a complete-game shutout in game one and senior 
Rachel Duda (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore Area) hit a walk-off sacrifice fly in game two to help lift Lycoming College head softball coach 
Melissa Montoro to her 100
th career victory in a MAC Commonwealth doubleheader sweep of Hood College on Saturday, April 13, at the Shangraw Athletic Complex. Lycoming took game one 1-0, before winning the night cap, 4-3.
 
Montoro becomes the second head coach in program history to reach the century mark, joining Lycoming head basketball coach 
Christen Ditzler, who won 214 softball games from 1993-2008. She joins Frank Girardi (football), 
Tim McMahon and Sonny Kirkpatrick (volleyball), Scott Kennell (men's soccer), Dutch Burch and Guy Rancourt (men's basketball), Budd Whitehill and 
Roger Crebs (wrestling), Deb Holmes (women's tennis), Nels Phillips (men's tennis) and Ditzler (women's basketball and softball) as the 12th coach in the athletic department's history to reach 100 career wins.
 
Junior 
Kayla Kline (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) also reached a milestone, becoming the 15
th Warrior to reach the 100 career-hit mark with a single to left field in the bottom of the fourth inning in the
game one victory, doing it faster than any other player in program history, as she crossed the mark in her 66th career game. Kline was 3-for-6 on the afternoon, giving her 102 career-hits, as she is now 12th in program history.
 
In game two, Hood (6-22 overall, 0-10 MAC Commonwealth) pushed a run across in the top of the seventh to knot the game at three.
 
Freshman 
Kacee Reitz (Milton, Pa./Milton Area) led off the bottom half of the seventh with a single up the middle and advanced to third after a one-out pinch-hit double by freshman 
Morgan Klosko (Kingston, Pa./Wyoming Valley West). Senior 
Lexie Kovin (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) reached on a fielder's choice to load the bases for Duda with one out. Duda hit a 1-1 pitch to right field to allow Reitz to score and secure the walk-off win.
 
Freshman 
Mikayla Aldenderfer (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) (10-6) earned her 10
th win of the season, tossing the complete seven innings, while allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out four.
 
Junior 
Madison Brown (McElhattan, Pa./Central Mountain) notched her second 3-for-4 performance in three games and scored a run, as she pushed her batting average above .400. Gessner and Reitz each finished 2-for-4 with Reitz scoring a run and Gessner knocking one in. Kline and Warriner each went 1-for-3 with an RBI. Duda was a perfect 2-for-2 with an RBI, run and walk and Klosko added a pinch-hit double.
 
Hood scored its first run of the afternoon in the top of the third to take a 1-0 lead.
 
The Warriors (16-12 overall, 5-7 MAC Commonwealth) responded with three runs on five hits in the bottom half of the inning to lead, 3-1. Duda, Brown and Nace singled consecutively to load the bases and sophomore 
Taylor Gessner (Lewisburg, Pa./Meadowbrook Christian) made it four in a row when she hit a frozen rope to left field to score Duda. Kline followed with a sacrifice fly to center to score Brown and junior 
Darci Warriner (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) doubled over the left fielder's head to score Nace, rounding out the rally.
 
The Blazers pushed runs across in the fourth and seventh to set up the Warriors' walk off.
Maddie Walter, who threw all 12 and 2/3 innings for the Blazers, tossed 6 and 2/3 innings, allowing four runs on 13 hits. She struck out one.
 
Jules Baker and Katelyn Long each went 2-for-4 to lead the Blazers offense.
 
In game one, Nace (7-6) earned her seventh win of the year with a complete-game shutout. The senior allowed five hits, one walk and struck out five.
 
Kline and Reitz each finished 2-for-3 with Reitz driving in the lone run and Brown finished 1-for-2 with a walk.
 
Walter joined Nace to throw five and 1/3 scoreless innings, before the Warriors struck for a run in the bottom of the sixth. Gessner laid down a perfect bunt that caused an errant throw and Kline followed with a bunt single to start the inning. After the first out of the inning, Reitz doubled to right center to score Gessner.
 
Walter threw six innings, allowing an unearned run on five hits and struck out five in the loss. Cailyn Barthlow finished 2-for-3 to lead the Blazers.
 
The Warriors are back in action on Tuesday, April 16, for a 3 p.m. non-conference doubleheader with Susquehanna University at Sassafras field.
