Travis Rode (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) led the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team with three goals, but 12
th-ranked Ursinus College posted seven first quarter goals en route to a 16-6 non-conference win on Saturday afternoon, March 9, at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.

Cole Masterson (Honeoye Falls, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) led the Lycoming defense with five caused turnovers and freshman
Justin Joseph (Exeter, Pa./Wyoming Area) notched four groundballs and a goal.

Rode got the Warriors (1-4 overall) on the board with a score with 9:47 left on the first, tying the game at one before Joseph won a faceoff and rolled straight to net for a score with 7:37 left to tie it at two. Ursinus (5-0 overall) scored four in a row before Rode ended that run with his second tally to make it 6-3 with 1:14 left in the first quarter.

Ursinus went on a 7-1 run from there to take a 13-4 lead with 14:45 left in the fourth quarter before the Warriors ended the run when sophomore

Blake Premo (Massena, N.Y./Massena) with 14 seconds left.

Ursinus won 17-of-25 faceoffs, with Aiden Baltz winning 16-of-22 to go with 13 groundballs. Hakan Atillasoy led the Bears with four goals, an assist and four groundballs and Bobby McClure added three goals and three assists. Patrick Bernicker had three caused turnovers.

Nick Kirk earned the win for Ursinus, stopping seven shots in three-plus quarters of action. Senior
Michael Tenant (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) stopped 17 shots in net for the Warriors.

The Warriors get back on the field when they head to Davenport, Fla., for a pair of Spring Break neutral site games, starting by facing Keene State on Wednesday, March 13 at 12 p.m. before facing UMass-Boston on Friday, March 15, at 2 p.m.
