WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - An 85-66 win over Penn State-Schuylkill in the season opener has set up a matchup 68 years in the making, as the Lycoming College men's basketball team will face Ursinus College in the Dutch Burch Tip-Off Tournament finals on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 9, at 3 p.m.
The Warriors (1-0 overall) had four players finish in double figures against Penn St.-Schuylkill, with juniors
Darius Dangerfield and
D'Yante Doughty each scoring 17 points, freshman
Dyson Harward adding 14 points and 10 rebounds and sophomore
Matt Ilodigwe notching 13 points.
Ursinus (1-0 overall) used a strong second-half to post a 73-58 win over Saint Vincent. Sophomore Ryan Hughes led the Bears with 25 points and seven rebounds and senior Ryan McTamney added 13 points.
Game Notes
• The Warriors are 15-5 all-time in Dutch Burch Tip-Off Championship games and have won the last four tournaments in a row.
• Four Warriors finished in double figures for the Warriors against Penn State-Schuylkill - the 13th time in head coach
