WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Shooting 54 percent in the second half, the Lycoming College women's basketball team surged past Bates in the season opener to earn a spot in the championship game of the Rose City Classic, facing host Drew University on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 16, at Baldwin Gym.
The Warriors (1-0 overall) posted a 67-56 win over Bates on Friday night. Three Warriors finished in double figures, led by senior
Kayla Kline, who posted 15 points and six rebounds, and senior
Akilah McFadden, who added 11 points and six assists. Senior
Morgan Mader added 10 points and four rebounds.
The Rangers (2-1 overall) used a fourth-quarter rally to get past Plattsburgh State, 66-59, in their first round match of the Rose City Classic.
