Elle Jednorski (Forest Hill, Md./Fallston) notched a match-high 18 kills to go with four blocks to lead the Lycoming College volleyball team, which played step-for-step before falling to MAC Commonwealth foe Messiah College, 3-1 (17-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-22), on Tuesday night, Oct. 8, at Lamade Gym.

The Warriors (13-10 overall, 4-2 MAC Commonwealth) won the first set, 25-17, winning a set off the Falcons (15-5 overall, 3-2 MAC Commonwealth) for the first time since 2010, as Lycoming forced Messiah into nine hitting errors and a -.054 hitting percentage in the period. Messiah answered by holding Lycoming to a .000 hitting percentage in the second set, withstanding a late rally for a 25-19 win. Messiah led 22-16 in the third set before the Warriors pushed back within a point with five straight points off the serve of senior
Darci Warriner (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area), as senior
Alysa McDevitt (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) provided two kills in the run. However, a block by Messiah helped it take control and gain the win, 25-22. Lycoming rallied again in the fourth set, coming back from a 22-15 deficit to close within 24-22, but an attack error ended the match.

Jednorski hit .375 in the match, posting 18 kills and six errors in 32 swings to lead the Warriors. Hausknecht provided eight kills and a block and McDevitt and junior
Kiannah Titus (Clay, N.Y./Baldwinsville) each had five kills, with Titus adding 13 digs. Freshman
Elizabeth Kelson (Denville, N.J./Morris Catholic) posted four kills and eight blocks to pace Lycoming's nine-block effort.

Emily Morris (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) posted 37 assists, nine digs and two blocks and Warriner finished with 11 digs. Senior libero

Kate Preudhomme and Lanae Hunsberger each had 11 kills to lead the Falcons. Kristen Seibert had 32 assists and Natalie Marsch posted seven kills and 14 digs.

The Warriors head to San Juan, Puerto Rico for fall break, facing Ana G. Mendez on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 10 a.m. before taking on Segrado Corazon at 2 p.m. at Ana G. Mendez's Metropolitan campus.
