Warriors split a pair in Puerto Rico

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – The Lycoming College volleyball team played a pair of matches on Saturday, Oct. 12, against first-place teams from the Puerto Rico Interuniversity Athletic League, beating Universidad del Sagrado Corazon, 3-1 (13-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-15) in the afternoon after falling to Universidad Ana G. Mendez, 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-13) in the morning on Saturday, Oct. 12.
 
Ana G. Mendez, the largest private university system on the island of Puerto Rico, has started its season 4-0 in the Rafael Manguel League and Sagrado Corazon is 6-0 in the Cosme Beitia League.
 
The trip to Puerto Rico coincided with Lycoming's Fall Break, as the team will return stateside on Monday.

The Warriors get back on the court on Thursday, Oct. 17, when they head to Penn State Altoona for a 7 p.m. match.
