ANNVILLE, Pa. – With a veteran-laden squad that features nine juniors and seniors, the Lycoming College volleyball team used that experience again and again on Tuesday night, Oct. 29, outlasting Lebanon Valley, 3-2 (22-25, 25-22, 25-20, 13-25, 15-10) in a battle between two teams bound for next week's MAC Commonwealth Championship at Sorrentino Gymnasium.

Junior
Elle Jednorski (Forest Hill, Md./Fallston) continued her torrid play, posting 19 kills and hitting .33 to go with one block, leading a group of three Warriors (16-12 overall, 5-3 MAC Commonwealth) with 10 kills in the match. Junior
Kiannah Titus (Clay, N.Y./Baldwinsville) posted 12 kills and 12 digs and freshman
Elizabeth Kelson (Denville, N.J./Morris Hills Catholic) added 10 kills and five blocks.

Senior
Alysa McDevitt (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) added seven kills, three aces and four blocks and senior
Emily Morris (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) posted 47 assists, nine digs and seven kills from the setting position. Senior
Lilly Singleton (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) posted four aces and 17 digs as the libero. Both senior defensive specialists
Lindsay Beck (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown Community) and
Darci Warriner (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro) each had six digs.

With a 7-6 lead in the fifth set, Singleton tossed an over ball that forced LVC into a pair of missed passes, with their return over ball sailing out of bounds. That was followed by a block by McDevitt to take a 9-6 lead. After a timeout, Jednorski smashed down a pair of kills to extend the lead to 11-6.

With the score 13-8, Morris faked a set and then delivered a left-handed spike and after a pair of points by Lebanon Valley, Jednorski smashed down her 19
th kill of the night to end the match.

With the score tied at 21 in the second set, Morris made a heads-up play, dunking a digged ball that appeared headed over the net, redirecting it to the right for the kill. After that, Jednorski took over, drilling the last three kills of the set to clinch a 25-22 win.

In the third set, the Warriors broke a tie at 17 with three straight points in a 6-1 run, which extended the lead to 23-18. After Lebanon Valley got a pair of points to close within three, the Warriors got a tip kill from Titus and a LVC attack error ended the set.

Lebanon Valley notched a tough 25-22 win in the first set, overcoming a 10-4 deficit. In the fourth set, Lebanon Valley posted a 25-13 win.

Jayna Class had 22 kills to lead Lebanon Valley and Reilly Shelly added 15 kills and three aces. Emily Bartlett added 53 assists and Kaitlyn Reed had 18 digs.

The Warriors wrap up the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 31, when they head to Penn State Harrisburg for a 7 p.m. non-conference match.
