WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Two more outstanding defensive efforts, holding their opponents to a .121 hitting percentage, helped lift the Lycoming College volleyball team to a pair of 3-0 sweeps on Saturday, Sept. 8, at Lamade Gym, defeating Dickinson College, 3-0 (25-22, 25-13, 25-19), and Clarks Summit, 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 30-28).

Alysa McDevitt (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) was named to the all-tournament team after averaging 2.57 kills and hitting an outstanding .478 in the
four matches.

Against Dickinson (3-5 overall), the Warriors (6-2 overall) held the team to a .090 hitting percentage (28-18-111), thanks to 57 digs in the match.

Emily Hepner (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) posted 20 digs and both freshman
Alia Post (Sayre, Pa./Sayre Area) and junior
Lindsay Beck (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown Community) each had nine for Lycoming, which hit .238 (42-17-105) in the sweep.

Kiannah Titus (Clay, N.Y./Baldwinsville) led the Warriors with 17 kills, hitting .375, three aces, five digs and three blocks. McDevitt posted six kills, hitting .455 to go with a block and junior
Katie Hausknecht (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) added six kills. Junior
Emily Morris (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) posted 34 assists, five kills and five digs. Junior
Lilly Singleton (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) also had five kills and four digs and junior
Elle Jednorski (Forest Hill, Md./Fallston) notched three blocks.

Emma Lange led the Devils with nine kills and Jenna Schumann posted seven kills and 10 digs. Kristin Allgaier finished with 12 assists and Tatiana Lopez posted 13 digs.

Against Clarks Summit (1-7 overall), the Warriors finished with 14 aces, 43 kills and hit .228 (43-17-114) while holding the Defenders to a .155 (31-15-103) effort hitting.

Darci Warriner (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro) posted a career-high nine kills, hitting .643. Sophomore
Emily Konopka (Wrightstown, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional) added five kills.

Abigail Harney (Center Moriches, N.Y./Center Moriches) had 15 assists. Hepner finished with 16 digs, four assists and three aces.

Beth Muhlenkamp led the Defenders with 12 kills, nine digs and four blocks and Kara Brown added 11 kills and eight digs. Alexa Wagner had 14 assists and nine digs.

The Warriors get back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 11, when they head to Widener University for a key 7 p.m. MAC Commonwealth match.
