Warriors’ comeback falls short at Widener

CHESTER, Pa. – Another solid defensive effort that saw the Lycoming College volleyball team post five more digs than Widener University helped Lycoming stage a comeback from two sets down, but Widener was able to hold on for a 3-1 (25-14, 25-13, 19-25, 25-22) win in MAC Commonwealth action at the Schwartz Center on Tuesday night, Sept. 11.

Senior Emily Hepner (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) led all players with 14 kills to go with two aces and junior Lilly Singleton (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) added eight kills and eight digs, as Lycoming (6-3 overall, 1-1 MAC Commonwealth) posted 39 digs in the match.

Sophomore Kiannah Titus (Clay, N.Y./Baldwinsville) added a team-high nine kills, sophomore Elle Jednorski (Forest Hill, Md./Fallston) and junior Alysa McDevitt (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) finished with five.
