Chris Solecki (Hainesport, N.J./Lenape) captured his fourth shutout of the season as the Lycoming College men's soccer team defeated defending Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference champs Medaille, 1-0, at Dobson Field in a non-conference game on Wednesday, Sept 12.

Jimmy Wilcox (Burlington, Conn./Lewis S. Mills) and sophomore
Alex Henry (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) set up Willis for what ended up being the game-winning goal in the 26
th minute. The goal gives Henry and Wilcox their first assist of the year. Henry offered the service across the box for Willis, who connected on the far post while under pressure.

The Warriors, ranked fourth in the United Soccer Coaches Mid-Atlantic Regional Poll, Â were able to keep pressure on the Mavericks defense all night, as they finished the second half with five corner kicks while Medaille was forced to play a man down for the final 25 minutes. After giving up his first goals of the season in his last game, Solecki answered with two saves and a shutout, the 15
th of his career. Johnny Petts finished with five saves for the Mavericks.

The Warriors are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 2 p.m., when they host Scranton for a non-conference game for their home opener at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.
