Hailey Fricke (Denver, Pa./Garden Spot) is tied for 11
th, as she posted a first-round 96 at the par-71, 5,826-yard Hershey Country Club East Course on a sunny Saturday, April 21.

Fricke's 96 is just two strokes out of a four-way tie for fifth place and one-stroke behind a two-way tie for ninth, while she is tied with Eastern's Alyse Headley and Manhattanville's Nicole Krause. Alvernia's Emily Gilbert leads the field by four strokes after an opening-round 79 and Alvernia holds a 12-stroke lead over Stevenson for the team title after an opening round 362.

Fricke notched eight bogeys and two pars in the opening round, which puts her in position to finish in the top 15 and earn All-MAC honors for the third straight year.

The second round of the MAC Championship will tee off at 8 a.m. on Sunday, April 22 at the Hershey Country Club East Course.
