WILLIAMSPORT, Pa – The Lycoming College women's tennis team was victorious in both contested doubles matches in a 7-2 loss against King's in non-conference action Sunday afternoon, Oct. 7, at Bruce Henry Park.
Junior
Hannah Summerson (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) and senior
Brittany Lenze (St. Mary's, Pa./Elk County Catholic) defeated Natalie Coffee and Martina Gale, 8-4,
in No. 1 doubles for their third win of the season. Seniors
Allyson Dugan (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) and
Kimberleigh Parroccini (Warren, Pa./Warren Area) picked up their second win of the season at No. 2 doubles, defeating Alexis Zalutko and Mikayla Reynolds 8-6.
Lenze also had a strong showing in No. 2 singles, falling to Natalie Coffee 9-7.
The Warriors fall to 1-4 and King's improves to 2-0.
The Warriors are back in action Tuesday, Oct. 9 for a 3 p.m. start when they host Penn College for a cross-town rivalry match at Bruce Henry Park.
