WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior goalkeeper
Helen Ross (Hellertown, Pa./Saucon Valley) had seven saves, but Stevenson University's lone first-half goal proved to be the difference, as the Lycoming College women's soccer team fell 1-0 in MAC Commonwealth action on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 6.

Elle Sarracco (Wantage, N.J./ High Point Regional) had a game-high seven shots, with four of them coming on goal.

The Mustangs (2-7-2, 1-2 MAC Commonwealth) scored the game-winning goal in the 8
th minute when Alayna Roesener sent a lead pass to Allison Arters, who
dribbled past her defender to fire a shot past the right of the keeper.

The Warriors (1-12 overall, 0-2 MAC Commonwealth) held the Mustangs scoreless the remaining 82 minutes of the contest, with Ross making several diving saves, including one in the closing minutes to keep the deficit at one.

Keegan Caffrey stopped eight shots in the shutout for the Mustangs.

The Warriors are back in action Saturday, Oct. 13, when they head to Chester, Pa., to take on Widener University for a 4 p.m. start in MAC Commonwealth play.
