Kyleigh Balint (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) and sophomore
Sheila Whitman (Lake Ariel, Pa./Wallenpaupack) erased a two-goal deficit for the Lycoming College women's soccer team, but a goal in the closing minutes helped Keuka College sneak away with a 3-2 win at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex in non-conference action on Wednesday night, Oct. 3.

The Warriors (1-11 overall) cut the lead in half in the 34
th minute when freshman
Jayden Leighow (Unityville, Pa./Hughesville) fired a long pass from midfield that snuck past the goalie and found a charging Balint, who capitalized on the chance for the first goal of her career.

The Warriors tied the game in the 52
nd minute when freshman
Elin Johansson (Göteborg, Sweden/Shattuck-St. Mary's (Minn.)) sent a free kick from just outside the box to Whitman, who headed in her first career goal.

The Wolves (8-3 overall) scored the game-winning goal in the 85
th minute when Brooke Guernsey fired a shot from 35 yards out that snuck past the goal line.

Morgan Fuller scored off an assist from Kelsey Mauer in the third minute and Julia Oglesby scored off an assist from Morgan Fuller in the fifth minute to give the Wolves an early 2-0 lead, setting up the Warrior comeback.

Bronwen Lewis (Cresaptown, Md./Allegany) started the game for the Warriors, totaling three saves before being relieved by freshman
Bekki Weller (Millmont, Pa./Mifflinburg Area), who added four stops in the second half. Jessica Pegg was credited with the win for the Wolves, as she posted four saves on eight Lycoming shots.

The Warriors are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 6, when they host Stevenson University in a MAC Commonwealth contest at the Shangraw Athletic Complex, with kickoff set for 12 p.m.
