Kyleigh Balint (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) and sophomore
Elle Sarracco (Wantage, N.J./High Point Academy) scored first-half goals, but the Lycoming College women's soccer team fell, 8-2, against regionally-ranked Arcadia University in MAC Commonwealth action on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 20, at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.

The Warriors (1-15 overall, 0-6 MAC Commonwealth) got on the board in the 35
th minute when freshman
Jayden Leighow (Unityville, Pa./Hughesville) found Balint at the top of the box, who fired a shot as she was knocked to the ground into the upper-right 90 of the goal. The goal gives Balint her second of the season and Leighow her second assist.

Sarracco cut the first-half deficit to two with her team-leading fifth goal of the season when she split the defense at mid field and connected from 35-yards out with a missile passed the keeper.

The Knights (11-3-2 overall, 6-0 MAC Commonwealth) were led by Julie Oswald, who connected for four goals. Veronica Pontis, Gabby Rhoads, Veronica Garcia, and Bridget Sway added a goal apiece.

Senior
Helen Ross (Hellertown, Pa./Saucon Valley) reached double-digit saves for the second straight game, finishing with 12. Brianna Williams had a save, earning the win and Gabby Green had two saves in relief action.

The Warriors are back in action Wednesday, Oct. 24 for a 3:30 p.m. start when they host MAC Commonwealth opponent Lebanon Valley at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.
