WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Three players picked up wins in both singles and doubles matches as the Lycoming College men's tennis team defeated Marywood University, 5-1, in a non-conference match Wednesday evening, Oct. 10, at Bruce Henry Park.

Mitch Wheary (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) and junior
Felix Mahon (Les Avenières, France) teamed up at No. 1 doubles to defeat Naitik Butani and Momar Fall, 8-1. Wheary followed that up with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles over Butani while Mahon defeated Fall 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2.Â

Nick Meek (Twinsburg, Ohio/Benedictine) and
Sam Lamport (Califon, N.J./Voorhees) picked up their first win at No. 2 doubles, defeating Jarrod Palmer and Dev Patel, 8-5. Lamport followed that with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles against Patel.
Meek put a strong match together at No. 3 singles, falling to Palmer, 7-5, 1-6, 10-5.

The Warriors are back in action Saturday, Oct. 13, when they head to Wilkes-Barre, Pa., to compete in the MAC Individual Championships, starting at 9 a.m.
