SCRANTON, Pa. – The Lycoming College volleyball team fell twice during a quad-match at the University of Scranton on Saturday, Sept. 23, falling to Mount St. Vincent, 3-0, and Scranton, 3-0, at the Long Center.

Freshman
Kiannah Titus (Clay, N.Y./Baldwinsville) led the Warriors with 10 kills and nine digs against Mount St. Vincent, but the team's 22 attack errors helped the Dolphins (4-6 overall) to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-22, 25-23) win in the morning match.

Sophomore
Alysa McDevitt (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) posted seven kills and three blocks and sophomore
Katie Hausknecht (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) added three blocks. Junior
Emily Hepner (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) added seven digs and senior
Catherine Burger (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) added 18 assists.

In the first set, the Dolphins hit .304 while Lycoming was forced into eight attack errors, as it posted a 25-16 win. The Warriors jumped out to a 9-5 lead, but the Dolphins fought back into the set, tying it at 12. After knotting back up at 18, the Dolphins finished the set on a 7-4 run to take the 2-0 lead. In the third set, the Warriors fell behind 18-14 before fighting within a point at 19-18, but the Dolphins were able to close out a 25-23 win.

Tara Maloney led the Dolphins with 14 kills and 11 digs and Maria Leineweber posted eight goals and eight digs. Sayde McDermott and Nicole Henderson each had 12 digs, with Henderson also notched 26 assists.

Scranton hit .274 (40-14-95) in the second match as it posted a 3-0 (25-9, 25-17, 25-21) win over the Warriors.

McDevitt led the Warriors with five blocks and three blocks and sophomore
Lilly Singleton (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) added four kills, an ace and eight digs. Sophomore
Emily Morris (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) led the team with 11 assists and eight digs.

Kristin Kirwin led the Royals with 19 kills, three blocks and six digs. Regina Schetroma added 13 digs and Kindler Norman posted 35 assists.

The Warriors get back on the court on Wednesday, Sept. 27, when they host Susquehanna in non-conference action at 7 p.m. in Lamade Gym.
