UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – Lycoming junior
Sainclair Tueno's (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery Blair) header was saved with just 24 seconds remaining as the fourth-ranked Lycoming College men's soccer team dropped its first game of the season, falling to Case Western Reserve University, 1-0, in a non-conference game on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 23.

The loss snaps Lycoming's eight game win streak to start the season, the best start in program history.

The lone goal of the game was scored by Case Western Reserve's Zach Senft on a strong move on the ride side of the goal just six yards in front of the Warrior net, firing into the far left side of the net to give the Spartans the 1-0 lead, enough to hang on for the win.

Lycoming (8-1 overall) outshot Case Western Reserve (4-3-1 overall), 20-12, while each team had seven corner kicks.

Chris Solecki (Hainesport, N.J./Lenape) made four saves for Lycoming while Case's Calvin Boyle made six saves.

The Warriors return to the Shangraw Athletic Complex when they host Misericordia on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. in a non-conference game.
