ONEONTA, N.Y. – Three players finished with five kills and all 14 players saw court time as the Lycoming College volleyball team wrapped up its time at the Hartwick Invitational with a 3-0 win over Penn State Abington (25-23, 25-23, 25-12) after falling to Baldwin Wallace, 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-20) in the morning match on Saturday, Sept. 16, at Lambros Arena.

In the afternoon match, the Warriors (8-3 overall) hit .243 (23-6-70) with seven aces while holding Penn State Abington (5-4 overall) to .023 (17-15-88).

Molly Ball (Sayre, Pa./Sayre) posted five kills and three aces and sophomore
Alysa McDevitt (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) posted five kills and six blocks to lead the team. Sophomore
Katie Hausknecht (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) added five kills and three blocks. Senior
Catherine Burger (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) finished with 22 assists and five digs and junior
Emily Hepner (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) notched 18 digs. Sophomore
Lilly Singleton (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) contributed two aces and five blocks.

Cortney Schwar led the Lions with five kills, eight assists, nine digs, two blocks and three aces. Cori Watson also posted 16 digs.

In the morning match, Baldwin Wallace hit .347 (39-5-98) as it improved to 11-0 while Lycoming hit .208 (25-9-77) in just their third loss of the season.

Kiannah Titus (Clay, N.Y./Baldwinsville) finished with five kills, two blocks and an ace and Singleton posted five kills and eight digs. Ball also added five kills, a block and an ace. Hepner finished with eight digs and Hausknecht posted four kills and two blocks. Burger finished with 15 assists and four digs and sophomore
Emily Morris (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) finished with six assists and five digs.

Alicia Lortcher led the Yellow Jackets with 12 kills and 14 digs and Ellen Hawkins added nine kills. Sarah Reinhard had 27 digs and Kathleen Egan posted 30 assists and three aces.

The Warriors get back on the court on Wednesday, Sept. 20, when they host Messiah in a MAC Commonwealth match at 7 p.m.
