WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior
Nicole Calella (Sandyston, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) posted 17 points, three assists and two steals in her final performance at Lamade Gym to lead the Lycoming College women's basketball team, but a second-half rally helped Stevenson University post a 67-57 MAC Commonwealth win on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 18.

The Warriors (14-10 overall, 8-8 MAC Commonwealth) finish the regular season as the MAC Commonwealth's fifth seed and will travel to Lebanon Valley on Monday, Feb. 20, for a 7 p.m. start time. Admission to the games is set for $6 for adults, $4 for seniors, $2 for students and children under six-years-old are free.

Three players finished in double figures for the Warriors, with junior
Shelby Mueller (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) posting 11 points, six rebounds, three steals and two blocks and freshman
Kayla Kline (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) adding 11 points, five rebounds and two blocks.

The Mustangs (17-8 overall, 12-4 overall) were led by 24 points, 23 rebounds and six assists by Sara Tarbert, who tied the Division III record with her 26
th straight double-double. Laitlyn VanTash, Hannah Crist, and Jonya Curry each added 11 points each, as Stevenson held a 47-26 advantage in rebounds.

The Warriors started the third quarter with an 11-2 run that occupied the first half of the period, as a free throw from freshman
Hailey Dayton (Reisterstown, Md./St. Timothy's) hit a free throw to make it 43-33, but the Mustangs fought back with a 12-1 run to take a 45-44 lead at the final horn of the quarter off a transition bucket from VanTash.

Lycoming took the lead with the first four points of the final quarter, but the Mustangs went on a 12-2 run to take a 57-50 lead with 6:19 left. The Warriors got within two after a 3-pointer from freshman
Morgan Mader (Cresco, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) a moment later, but the Mustangs held Lycoming without a field goal for the next 4:30 while scoring 10 points to ensure the win.

In the first half, neither team was able to garner more than a two-possession lead, as they traded off six ties and three lead changes. The Warriors used a 9-3 run midway through the first quarter to take a 15-9 lead after an old-fashioned 3-point play by Mueller, but Stevenson responded with five straight points before the Warriors closed the quarter with four points to take a 19-14 lead into the second stanza.

With foul trouble sidelining Mueller for much of the last nine minutes of the second quarter, the Mustangs were able to build their biggest lead of the half at 28-24 with 2:54 left, but the Warriors closed the gap and even took a 32-31 lead into halftime after a pair of free throws from Calella with four seconds left.
