WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College swim teams won all but four of the 28 events, including 10 straight in which it took first or second, as each the men's and women's swim teams defeated Wilkes University on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 3, at the Lamade Gym Natatorium in Middle Atlantic Conference action. The men won, 173-84, while the women prevailed, 164-74.

Both the Lycoming men and women improved to 3-3 overall, while the Wilkes men fell to 4-4 and the women to 0-7.

On the men's side, freshman
Brandon Vought (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg Area) led the team with three individual wins and a relay win. He took first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:56.25), 500-yard freestyle (5:15.56) and the 200-yard butterfly (2:12.19).

Senior
Andrew Canavan (Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell) earned two individual wins in the 200-yard backstroke (2:04.45) and the 400-yard individual medley (4:46.87). Junior
Callan Jordan (Hurley, N.Y./Western Academy of Beijing) swam a 55.16 in the 100-yard backstroke to take first and he also took first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.82.

Sophomore
Devyn Goda (Reading, Pa./Reading) also took first in two individual events. In the 100-yard breaststroke, he swam a 1:01.31 and in the 200-yard breaststroke, he swam a 2:25.62.

Theo Gouskos (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) took first in the 100-yard freestyle with a swim of 51.96. Swimming in just his second collegiate meet, freshman
Daniel Moses (Cape May, N.J.Wildwood Catholic) earned his first win with an 11:34.32 swim in the 1000-yard freestyle.

The men also took first in both the 200-yard medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay. In the medley relay, Canavan, Goda, Vought and Gouskos teamed up to swim a 1:41.99 while in the freestyle relay, Goda, freshman
Caleb Beard (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area), Gouskos and Jordan combined to swim a 1:32.47.

On the women's side, junior
Emilie Kramer (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) took first in three individual events as she swam a 1:10.75 in the 100-yard breaststroke, a 57.06 in the 100-yard freestyle and a 1:05.63 in the 100-yard butterfly. Freshman
McKenna Zeller (White Haven, Holy Redeemer) took first in the 100-yard backstroke with a swim of 1:02.70 and swam a 2:19.34 in the 200-yard backstroke to win two events.

Elena Pikounis (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) swam a 2:14.02 in the 200-yard freestyle to take first while freshman
Cara Zortman (York, Pa./York Suburban) took first in the 50-yard freestyle with a swim of 26.86.

Freshman
Sheila Whitman (Lake Ariel, Pa./Wallenpaupack) earned her first win in the 200-yard butterfly, as she swam 2:36.16. Freshman
Mikayla Wright (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) swam a 2:40.99 in the 200-yard breaststroke to also pick up a win.

The women also swept both relay events as Zeller, Zortman, Kramer and senior
Brianna Zawadzki (Austin, Texas/RoundRock) swam a 1:58.59 in the 200-yard medley and Pikounis, junior
Amanda Waldo (Katy, Texas/Katy), Zawadzki and Zeller combined to swim a 1:53.15 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

The Warriors will return to the meets after a six-week break on Saturday, Jan. 20, in a double-dual MAC meet at King's (Pa.) that also features FDU-Florham. Â First race is set for 1 p.m.
