Warriors set for conference opener against defending champs

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - If there is a team in the MAC Commonwealth that has gotten off to a hotter start than Lycoming College's women's basketball team, it is Messiah College, which has entered the national rankings and is the lone undefeated team in the conference as it gets set for a showdown with Lycoming at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, in Lamade Gym.

The Warriors (4-1 overall) lead the MAC Commonwealth in eight statistical categories and have scored 80 points four times in five games, including in an 85-75 win over Susquehanna on Sunday. Junior Becca Painter led the team with 19 points and four assists in the game.

The 21st-ranked Falcons (4-0 overall) are set for their  first game in eight days after head coach Mike Miller won his 600th career game in a 76-62 win over Eastern on Nov. 21.
