WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – After trailing by as many as 16 points in the first half, SUNY Oneonta cut the lead down to two early in the second half, but thanks to a 13-2 run and hot 3-point shooting, the 22
nd-ranked Lycoming College men's basketball team pulled away late for a 108-86 win over SUNY Oneonta in the Dutch Tournament Tip-Off Tournament Championship on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 18, at Lamade Gym.

The Warriors won their third straight tournament championship with the win.

Lycoming (3-0) shot 8-for-11 from behind the 3-point line in the second half, while hitting 68 percent of its shots. With 14:25 remaining in the second half, the Red Dragons cut the lead down to two, but the Warriors countered with a 13-2 run over the next four minutes to regain a double-digit lead. Oneonta still hung around, cutting the double-digit lead down to single digits four more times. It wasn't until the Warriors went 5-for-5 from behind the 3-point arc in a four-minute span that they began to pull away.

Sophomore
Damani Myers (Baldwin, N.Y./St. Mary's) started the onslaught with a 3-pointer with 8:31 remaining. Less than 20 seconds later, junior
T.J. Duckett (Severna Park, Md./Calvert Hall) hit another 3 and then another less than a minute later. Sophomore
Ronald Jefferson (Brooklyn, N.Y./Christ the King) capped the run with another 3 to put Lycoming up 15 with 4:11 remaining. The Warriors continued to pull away, ending the game on a 12-5 run to surpass the 100-point mark for the second time in three games. The 108 points is the most scored in a game since exactly a year to the day when Lycoming defeated Penn State Schuylkill, 111-81, in the opening round of the 2016 Dutch Burch tournament.

Overall, Lycoming shot 60 percent from the field and better than 62 percent (10-16) from behind the 3-point line. Senior
Chris Wallace (Randallstown, Md./Calvert Hall), a member of the All-Tournament Team, led five Warriors in double-figures with 18 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals. Earning his second straight Dutch Burch Tournament MVP, senior
Alex Newbold (Bowie, Md./DeMatha Catholic) added 13 points, five assists and two steals.

Duckett continued his hot start to the season, pouring in 15 of 59 bench points, as he hit all five of his 3-pointers, four of which came in the second half. Freshman
Ramadan Jennings (Jackson, Ohio/Life Skills) scored in double-figures for the third straight game, adding 13 points and three rebounds off the bench. Freshman
Darius Dangerfield (Abingdon, Md./Hartford Tech) netted a career-high 11 points off the bench, adding three steals and two made 3-pointers.

Myers scored eight points with a team-high six assists, four rebounds and two steals while junior
Darius James (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin) added eight points and career-highs of five assists and three blocks.

Lycoming had 24 assists to just 13 turnovers while turning 25 Oneonta turnovers into 31 points.

Dwayne Freeman led Oneonta with 18 points and four rebounds.

Lycoming returns to action on Tuesday, Nov. 21, when it hosts nearby rival Susquehanna University on 7 p.m.
