WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -Â After scoring 108 points in its season-opening win, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will look to keep its momentum when it heads to Muhlenberg College's Scotty Wood Tournament, opening the event against the University of Valley Forge on Friday afternoon, Nov. 17.
The Warriors (1-0 overall) had four players finish in double figures, led by 21 from junior
Shelby Mueller. All 16 available players saw time and 13 made it into the scoring column, with sophomore
Morgan Mader leading the bench players with nine points.
Valley Forge (1-0 overall) opened its season with a 77-54 victory over Penn State York, as sophomore Jhanel Brown led the way with 18 points and 18 rebounds.
Warrior Notes
• Before the Penn State Hazelton game, the Warriors hadn't scored 100 points since a 101-50 win over FDU-Madison on Feb. 14, 1998.
• The Warriors' 108 points against Penn State Hazleton smashed the previous school-best mark of 103 points, set in both 1988 and 1996 against Baptist Bible.
• Junior
Shelby Mueller is one of eight players in program history to post 900 points and 500 rebounds in a career.
• With 73 career blocks, Mueller needs two more rejections to tie Lyndy LeVan for fourth in program history.
• Three Warriors posted a career high in assists against Penn State Hazleton - senior
