Seniors' goals lift Warriors over Knights

GLENSIDE, Pa. – Thanks to goals in each half and a lockdown defense that allowed just two shots in the final 30 minutes, the 16th-ranked Lycoming College men's soccer team defeated Arcadia University, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 7, in a MAC Commonwealth match.

It's the Warriors fourth straight win as they improve to 12-1 overall with a 3-0 MAC Commonwealth record. Arcadia fell to 7-3-1 overall and 1-2 in conference play.

Senior Keenthy Yeboah (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery Blair) scored the Warrior's first goal at 21:26, when he collected a loose ball in the six-yard box and fired it in for the 1-0 advantage. It was Yeboah's fourth goal of the season.

Senior Duc Momo (Silver Spring, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) scored his second goal of the season in the 56th minute when he fired a loose ball into the far side of the net to give the Warriors a 2-0 advantage. Lycoming's defense held strong the rest of the way, allowing just three shots.

Junior Chris Solecki (Hainesport, N.J./Lenape) made one save while preserving the shutout, his sixth of the season. Chris Watson made six saves for Arcadia.

The Warriors outshot Arcadia, 13-6, and held a 10-0 corner-kick advantage.
