WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Thanks to a controlling offense and a stout defense, the 11th-ranked Lycoming College men's soccer team played a complete game in its 3-0 MAC Commonwealth win over Albright College on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 11 at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.

With the win, Lycoming head coach
Nate Gibboney now has 66 wins in his five-year career, tying Rob Eaton, who coached from 1990-95, for the second most career wins in program history. It was also the senior class' 55
th career win, expanding their school record as the team has notched a 55-12-9 (.783) record in the last five years.

After dominating the first 32 minutes, the Warriors (13-1 overall, 4-0 MAC Commonwealth) got on the board in the 33
rd minute when junior
Jake Webb (Fairless Hills, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic) crossed his corner kick into the 18-yard box where sophomore
Tanner Fonjweng (Bear, Del./Glasgow) fired a shot that was deflected and sophomore
Steven Riad (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) lasered in the loose ball for the 1-0 advantage. It was Webb's team-leading fifth assist of the season.

The Warriors added two more goals in the second half, the first coming from senior
Kyle Mizell (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley), who fired in a shot from about 10 yards out in the 56
th minute when senior
Mateo Velasquez (Scotrun, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) dribbled to the baseline and found a cutting Mizell for the 2-0 lead. It was Mizell's fourth goal of the season and Velasquez's third assist of the season and the 15
th of his career, tied for 11
th most in program history.

Kyle Stettenbauer (Columbia, Pa./Hempfield) headed in his second goal of the season when sophomore
Nick Thornton (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) served a nice pass near the six-yard box for the 3-0 lead in the 60
th minute.

Junior
Chris Solecki (Hainesport, N.J./Lenape) picked up his 13
th win of the season, playing 77 minutes of scoreless action, making one save. Sophomore
Caleb Herrin (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) made a save in 10 minutes of action and sophomore
Ryan Litterer (Colonia, N.J./Colonia) played the final 2:43, preserving the shutout. Albright's Billy Mullen made four saves and Brendan Hanratty made one.

Lycoming outshot Albright (2-11-1 overall, 1-3 MAC Commonwealth), 18-4, while holding the Lions to just two shots each half. The Warriors also held a 10-3 corner kick advantage.
