Warriors fall to seventh-ranked Falcons

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College women's soccer team dropped a MAC Commonwealth game to seventh-ranked Messiah College, 8-0, on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 18, at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.
 
Messiah (10-1-3 overall, 4-0-1 MAC Commonwealth) scored four goals in each half with Abby Monko, Megan Mansfield, Emily Lockwood and Brooke Firestone all scoring in the first half. Ellie Lengacher, Maddie Waits and Emily D'Amico had second-half goals. Lilly Shover had three assists while Mansfield added two.
 
In her first start of the season, junior Helen Ross (Hellertown, Pa./Saucon Valley) made 14 saves for the Warriors. Messiah's Lydia Ewing watched two shots in the win.
 
The Warriors (3-11-1 overall, 0-6 MAC Commonwealth) return to action on Saturday, Oct. 21, when they head to Stevenson for a 5 p.m. conference game.
