Madi Welliver (Turbotville, Pa./Warrior Run) and made five saves in the final 65 minutes, but Alvernia University scored two goals in each half as the Warriors dropped the MAC Commonwealth game, 4-0, on Saturday evening, Oct. 4.

Welliver played the first 25 minutes, making two saves and keeping Alvernia (5-8 overall, 2-3 MAC Commonwealth) scoreless.

Lauren Gough scored a goal in each half while Allison Hyde and Claire Brier scored the other two goals for Alvernia.

Jordan Lazarich (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park) had a game-high five shots with three coming on goal.

Jessica Plunkett made four saves for Alvernia.

The Warriors return to the field on Wednesday, Oct. 18, when they host Messiah in a conference match at 3:30 p.m. at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.
