Lilly Singleton (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) had career-highs of 15 kills and 14 digs and sophomore
Alysa McDevitt (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) added a career-high tying 13 kills and hit .684 to lead the Lycoming College volleyball team, but second-place Arcadia University came back to post a 3-2 (23-25, 19-25, 25-23, 27-25, 15-6) MAC Commonwealth win at Alumni Gymnasium on Tuesday, Oct. 10.

Sophomore
Emily Morris (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) added 14 assists and 13 digs and junior
Emily Hepner (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) notched 33 digs for the Warriors (11-12 overall, 1-5 MAC Commonwealth). Freshman
Elle Jednorski (Forest Hill, Md./Fallston) added 11 kills, hitting .364, and two blocks and sophomore
Katie Hausknecht (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) added eight kills. Senior
Catherine Burger (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) posted 24 assists and four aces.

In the first set, the Warriors smashed down 15 kills, led by six from Singleton, while Hepner posted nine digs. The Warriors broke a tie at 20 with a kill from McDevitt before a ball handling error helped the Warriors stay in control. From there, the Warriors were able to side out, posting a 25-23 win, with Singleton notching the set-clinching point with a tip kill from Singleton.

In the second set, Lycoming jumped out to a 17-9 lead, breaking the set open with a 7-1 run that featured two aces from Burger and one from Singleton and were able to hold on for a 25-19 win.

Arcadia (14-8 overall, 5-1 MAC Commonwealth) was able to force a fourth set by taking the final two points after the two teams were tied at 23, as Becca Campf clinched the set with a block. In the fourth set, the Warriors were the first to get to a set point, taking a 24-23 lead, but Arcadia was able to notch four of the next five points to win 27-25. In the final set, the Knights took a 5-1 lead and used that en route to the 15-6 win.

Shannon Ryan led the Knights with 19 kills, eight digs and three blocks and Katie Wilson posted 14 kills. Lizzie Joseph notched 12 kills, Colleen Stengel posted 45 assists and Emily Eng finished with 22 digs and eight aces.

The Warriors get back on the court on Thursday, Oct. 12, when they host Lancaster Bible in a non-conference match in Lamade Gym at 7 p.m.
