WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Coming off a win against Lebanon Valley that moved it into a three-way tie for third place in the MAC Commonwealth, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will to break that tie when it heads to Stevenson on Saturday, Jan. 7, for a 4 p.m. showdown.

The Warriors (9-4 overall, 3-2 MAC Commonwealth) showed off a balanced effort Lebanon Valley, with four players finishing in double figures, led by senior Nicole Calella's 18 points and freshman Akilah McFadden's 15 points and 11 rebounds. 

The Mustangs (6-6 overall, 3-2 MAC Commonwealth) fell 69-68 to league-leading Messiah in its last outing, as the Mustangs mounted a second-half comeback from down 13 came up just short.

• Lycoming's average of 69.4 points per game is the team's highest since the 1995-96 team averaged 75.6.

• The Warriors lead the MAC Commonwealth in rebounds per game (43.3), rebounding defense (29.0).

• The Warriors have five players averaging at least 8.0 points per game for the first time since the 1996-97 season.

• The Warriors have four different players - junior Shelby Mueller, sophomore Jenn Grove, and freshmen Akilah McFadden and Kayla Kline - that have recorded double-doubles this year, the team's most since 2008-09.

• Freshman Akilah McFadden needs two more steals to become the first Warrior since senior Nicole Calella to make 35 thefts as a rookie.

• With 381 career rebounds, junior Shelby Mueller needs 11 more to move into the top 20 in school history.
