Warriors power past Monarchs, 35-9

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – With eight straight wins, the Lycoming College wrestling team powered past King's College, 35-9, in a dual meet between Middle Atlantic Conference schools at Lamade Gym on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 29.

Senior Skylar Ebner (Muncy, Pa./Muncy Area) got in his headlock twice in his matchup at heavyweight with Fjoralb Cekici, but Cekici was able to roll out of bounds the first time. The second time, there was no such luck, and Ebner locked in his ninth pin of the year in 1:30 to cap a 35-straight-point run for the Warriors.

The Warriors got on the board at 141 pounds, as sophomore Joe Santomarco (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan), as he posted a first period takedown off a single leg and wrapped up the match with a third period takedown, using an ankle grab to win a scramble en route to a 6-4 win over Jake Daniel.
