WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Having already clinched a .500 MAC Commonwealth season for the sixth year in a row, the Lycoming College men's basketball team will look to keep its three-game hold on first place in the league when it hosts Messiah College on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 8 p.m., in Lamade Gym.

The Warriors (16-2 overall, 8-1 MAC Commonwealth) are coming off a 73-68 win over Hood, where they held the Blazers to just one field goal in the final eight minutes of play. Junior Alex Newbold led the team with 14 points and seven rebounds.

The Falcons (8-8 overall, 3-5 MAC Commonwealth) are coming off an 83-62 loss at Lebanon Valley, where the team was led by 14 points from freshman Colin Sareyka.

Warrior Notes
• The Warriors have won 16 games in three straight seasons for just the second time in school history. The 1950-53 teams went 48-13.

• With a win, the Warriors can improve to 17-2 for the first time in program history. The team has started 16-3 in 1950-51 and 2009-10.

• Head coach Guy Rancourt needs one more win to join Dutch Burch as the only men's basketball coaches at Lycoming to win 150 games.

• With his second of 11 rebounds at Hood, junior Chris Wallace reached 400 in his career.

• Wallace needs three more blocks to become the 14th player in school history to post 50 in a career.

• With 120 career steals, junior Alex Newbold needs one more steal to tie James Oberlies (2006-10) for eighth in program history.

• Newbold needs 15 more points to reach 700 in his career.

• Sophomore T.J. Duckett needs three more points to reach 400 in his career.
