WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior
Kristine Jahn (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) led the Lycoming College volleyball team with 18 kills and three blocks, as Lycoming split a MAC Commonwealth tri-match, beating Hood, 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 27-25), before falling to defending conference champions Stevenson, 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-11), on Saturday, Sept. 24, at Lamade Gym.

Jahn led the Warriors (9-8 overall, 2-2 MAC Commonwealth) with 13 kills while hitting .647 in the 3-0 win over Hood, while sophomore
Cheyenne Altland (East Berlin, Pa./Delone Catholic) and senior
Tayler Whitman (New Cumberland, Pa./Cedar Cliff) each added nine kills in the win.

Lycoming hit .265 (44-18-98) while averaging 14.6 kills per set, while Lycoming's tough defense led to 47 digs and held Hood (6-8 overall, 1-3 MAC Commonwealth) to .063 in the match.

Altland added four blocks to go with the nine kills and Jahn posted four digs and two blocks. Freshman
Emily Morris (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) finished with 32 assists, six digs, four kills and a block and freshman
Alysa McDevitt (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) added five kills and two blocks.

Defensively, the team was led by sophomore
Emily Hepner (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) added 17 digs and two aces and senior
Lauren Fink (York, Pa./West York) posted seven digs, two blocks and two aces. Senior
Haley Deibert (Herndon, Pa./Tri-Valley) added six digs.

Elena Zinaich led Hood with nine kills and seven digs and both Courtney Hutchinson and Kari Betson notched five kills and four blocks. Payton Belella added 21 assists.

In the second match, Stevenson (11-7 overall, 3-0 MAC Commonwealth) hit .420 (36-7-69) to post the sweep of Lycoming.

Victoria Prokic led the Mustangs with eight kills and Moriah Savage added seven. Sara Bollinger posted 15 assists and eight digs and Prokic led the squad with four blocks.

Jahn led the Warriors with five kills and Whitman, McDevitt and Altland each added three. Junior
Catherine Burger (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) led the team with 13 assists and Hepner posted eight digs. McDevitt led the team with three blocks.

The Warriors get back in action Saturday, Oct. 1, when they host the MAC Crossovers at Lamade Gym, taking on Delaware Valley at 12 p.m. and Wilkes at 2 p.m.
