Warriors down Case, 1-0, for fourth straight win

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior Jordan Logan (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) headed in the lone goal of the game to lead the Lycoming College men's soccer team to its fourth straight win, 1-0, over Case Western Reserve University on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 24, at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.
Logan's goal came in the 65th minute, as he flicked in a free kick opportunity from sophomore Jake Webb (Fairless Hills, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic), as Webb launched the kick from midfield before Logan met up with it to get it past the Case goalkeeper.

The Warriors (5-2-2 overall) peppered the Case goal with shots, taking 19 in the game while the defense allowed the Spartans (3-4-1 overall) just two shots.

Senior Josh Gildea (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) earned his second shutout of the year with a one-save effort, while Calvin Boyle stopped seven shots for the Spartans.

The Warriors get back on the field on Wednesday, Sept. 28, when they head to Misericordia for a 7 p.m. non-conference game.
