nd minute by King's College helped lift it to a 2-1 non-conference win over the Lycoming College women's soccer team on Wednesday night, Sept. 21, at McCarthy Stadium.

The Warriors (5-3-1 overall) tied the game in the 69
th minute, as senior
Leanne Shaw (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford) found senior
Nour Hasan (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin), who drilled a 25-yard shot for her first goal of the year.

The Monarchs (3-3 overall) broke the tie in the 82
nd minute, though, when Mariana Mercado put a shot into the upper left corner. Amy Barge hit a 40-yard shot in the 49
th minute to ignite the drama-filled second half for the Monarchs.

King's held a 9-3 advantage in shots, as junior
Joelle Winey (Mifflintown, Pa./Juniata) finished with three saves for the Warriors. Jess Schenfeld posted one stop for the Monarchs to earn the win.

The Warriors get back on the field on Saturday, Sept. 24, when they host FDU-Florham in a 4 p.m. game at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.
