Sean Reilly (Corning, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post West) finished his career by posting two goals and four assists and junior
Peter Pluta (Honeoye Falls, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) added a career-high four goals to lead the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team to a 9-6 MAC Commonwealth win over Alvernia University on Saturday afternoon, April 30 at Schlager Memorial Field.

Reilly finished his career fourth in school history with 97 career assists and 10
th with 156 career points, despite the fifth-year senior dealing with injuries that limited him to just eight games this year. In just eight games this year, Reilly led the team with 39 points off 19 goals and 20 assists. Senior
Mike Cooper (Riva, Md./Archbishop Spalding) added a goal and an assist, as he finished his career 14
th with 122 points and ninth with 61 assists.

The Warriors (4-11 overall, 3-5 MAC Commonwealth) held a 32-28 advantage in shots and held possession thanks to wins in 11-of-19 faceoffs, while also forcing Alvernia (3-14 overall, 0-8 MAC Commonwealth) into 25 turnovers. Extra-man opportunities turned out to be the story of the game, as Lycoming scored on all three of its opportunities while Alvernia was held to 0-for-4 in man-up situations.

The Warriors scored just 63 seconds into the game, as Reilly found Pluta for a man-up score. Alvernia tied it up, but Lycoming responded with 7:26 left in the first quarter, as junior
Jacob Eller (Durham, N.C./Riverside) found Reilly in transition for a goal to start a three-goal run. Alvernia scored two of the last three in the half, though, to make it 5-3 at halftime.

After the break, Pluta and Reilly each scored in the first five minutes of the third-quarter to take a 7-3 lead. Alvernia kept it close, scoring the next two goals, with Brian Schay's goal with 9:08 left making it 7-5 in the fourth quarter. Reilly helped ensure the win, though, as he found Breau for a score with 2:49 left before he found freshman
Connor Riorden (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) for a man-up score with 1:22 remaining to make it 9-5. Alvernia scored one late goal to round out the scoring.

Junior
Kyle Armstrong (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) won 8-of-13 at the faceoff 'x', finishing with three ground balls. Freshman
Collin Bitsko (Farmingdale, N.J./Freehold Township) added four ground balls and two caused turnovers and freshman
Eric Schutta (Frenchtown, N.J./Delaware Valley) caused three turnovers.

Benjamin Manning scored twice while Patrick Dunn and Andrew Ritchie each added a goal and an assist for Alvernia. Matt Saxon led the team with four groundballs and four players finished with two caused turnovers.

Freshman
Joshua Tscheulin (Lusby, Md./Patuxent) (3-7) finished with nine saves to earn the win for the Warriors. Kyle Augustine (2-12) finished with eight saves in net for the Crusaders.
